It is OFFICIAL... My knees HATE me... Seriously.... They hurt on the front of my knees right below my knee caps I guess.... I am scared because of the degenerative issues my dad and sister have with their knees. I can NOT let that get in my way! I need to do this for my HEART and my LUNGS.. and everything else. I did better this time. As you can see from the pictures I tried wrapping my boobs in ace bandages! LOL! IT WORKED! my boobs did NOT bounce like they used to! LOL! BUT... I had to unravel myself as I ran because the air was so thick with humidity from the rain that I was not able to get a good enough breath in! So, as I was in my 90 seconds of walking, I unclipped myself and took that bad boy off! AHHH! I could breathe better... even though the thick air was horrible.
So, I did better in my time and even started before a 90 minute walk cycle was over because I knew I would be home before the time had ended. I reversed the route I did on Monday night. I got scared at one point because I had run by a bike that was chained to a pole and when I started back that way, there was a creepy person who came out of NOWHERE at the bike and was unchaining it from the pole. I had the ace bandage wrapped around my neck and all I could think of was this crazy man pulling the ends of the ace bandage and choking me to death. So, I tied it off around my waist quickly. I almost kept pace with him during my little run spurt (not side by side.. no way) while he was pedaling his bicycle. GO ME! I did have hills again to run. So, it is quite a workout.
Despite the pain in my knees, I do feel better and invigorated when I am done. I feel proud of myself. As I am running and I feel like petering out, I tell myself.. I HAVE LUNGS.. USE THEM... I HAVE LEGS ... USE THEM... and that helps me to get to the next cycle. As you can see from the pics, the ace bandage really bound my chest to my body... and then you can see the post pics with me all nasty sweaty with the ace bandage tied off at my waist! LOL! Oh.. and of course... my boys waiting for me to arrive home and be so proud of me... Poor Chris looks so tired from all the stress of his mom.
So, now, I will run again on Saturday. Maybe in the morning. Hopefully... but doubtful... Chris will hopefully be in Cali and I might have to ask my neighbor to watch the kids for the 20 minutes in the early evening. Although.. I prefer at night so nobody can see my fat jiggling as I run... and how S L O W I am....
Does anyone know how i can alleviate the knee pain????

Hmmm, don't know about knee pain but if Chris end up in Cali (hopefully!!!) I'll watch the kids for you whenever. Just shoot me an e-mail or give me a call! Keep up the good work!!!!!
Ice your knees after running and take an Aleve (anti-inflamatory). If it persists, I would see a doctor and/or discontinue running. If there's a history of knee issues in the family, it sounds like you're at greater risk of doing some damage. Also, if you stick with it, I would seriously consider getting new shoes before October if possible. I haven't had the shin pain since I got mine after week 1.
