It has been almost 9 years.........

that we were married.... I can not believe it has been 9 years.... and we actually managed to get most of our immediate family to Hawaii to be with us as we took our vows. We were going to just go to the Justice of the Peace and get married that way. I had just graduated from the University of Rhode Island and left the day after the graduation ceremonies with wedding rings in tow! We were pregnant shortly after... planned! We waited for all of our family to be able to get to Hawaii... My grandfather had passed away on January 25, 1999 which is pretty much the reason that there were funds available for everyone to come out to Hawaii. I wish he could have been there in person... but I know he was there in spirit... He would have wanted for me to have this wedding. We had a wedding planner who did everything for us. The photographer who was included in the package was only supposed to take 16 pictures for us and he was so kind and took a whole book full and some! There was a car accident on the road on the way to the hotel and so the non-denominational minister who was supposed to officiate was not able to get there. We instead had Revered Robert Busche. He was INCREDIBLE... PERFECT!! I could not have asked for more beautiful vows.. (We did NOT write our own!) He encompassed the whole spirit of Hawaii.... and of our relationship. We had a harpist included in our package deal... and we added a DJ... it was so nice.
We were married at the Turtle Bay Hilton on the North Shore of Hawaii . I could not have asked for anything more perfect... or beautiful...

Chris's EX Step MIL Betty who he sees as his mom and still talks to and ADORES her... My father in law Bob, my Ex Step SIL who we LOVE Melody and her now Husband Lupe.
