GOD I go so far in between posts sometimes! Chris is in Wichita Falls, Texas right now. He will be there until Thursday. We used to live in Wichita Falls and it makes me a bit jealous to know he is there. The pace of life is so much different than up here in the northeast. Where we live in CT is not as bad as other places like Boston and Providence and New York City... but the suburbs of those areas can be just as bad. I hate when I have to drive up to Warwick to visit with family. I would much prefer to stay down here where things are not as crazy. Chris was able to go to Sonic last night. Wahhh! I want to go to Sonic too! His trip was nothing short of miserable. He was delayed in Providence, he was delayed in Chicago... he got in to Dallas late... he missed the plane to Wichita Falls (a little bumpy plane) and was thankfully able to get on to the last bumpy plane of the night going to Wichita Falls! This made for the WORST father's day he ever had!!! He is such a great dad and deserves better than to have a miserable day of airline troubles... look at that picture from June of 2001!!! WOW... now if that isnt vintage! HAHAH! I was pregnant with Sydney at the time. It is when Chris got frocked for E-6... and we have been STUCK at that rank since then... grrr............... Yesterday I took Sydney to Providence for her Neurology. We will be getting her hooked up to a 72 hour EEG on July 11th which will consist of the electrodes all over her head and a super cool backpack for us to carry around and hit the button when we think some nonsense might be happening. They are trying to see if more is going on than we think. She has been complaining of headaches more often, double vision and blurry vision. The doctor does think that Sydney DID have another seizure in school back in December right before Christmas break. The poor thing. The doctor was a bit peeved because Sydney was incontinent at the end of that seizure and they left her in the bathroom with the door propped a bit changing her clothing all on her own. I got another prescription for Diastat to have on hand and to give one to the nurses... that is a bit of a humiliating medication as it is a suppository but they do not want her seizures lasting longer than 5 minutes. Even though she can sometimes be verbal and walk during them. It is so weird. Depending on what comes back from the EEG they may put her on hmmm... I think the medication begins with an L... I might have to get back to you on that one! Ugh... the medication would work on her headaches and on the seizures.. all in one! The seizure activity that she does have seems to be in the occipital lobe. Her nose is still all full of gunky snot even though she has been on medication for a week. The baby still has a runny nose even though he has been done with his antibiotic... it isnt quite as green as it was! I have been stuffy. Softball is over for the season. Girl scouts will be DONE on thursday. I have to get all the paperwork completed. BORING... it is ALOT of work to be a volunteer! But it can be alot of fun all at the same time. Erica took some pics of me getting my leader recognition but I look like a Beluga Whale wearing a bright red shirt... so I might not share them... but i might share some of the peanut butter kiss cookies that are contributing to my beluganess! I do not think anything else is really going on. Grandma is still in a rehab in Florida.... and umm.. i think they are going to try and book it home with grandma in the back of a van because Grandma wants to come home. So.. we will see how her test results come back. She doesnt talk much and sleeps most of the time. I will keep you all posted!
