Yeah... I heard some funny noises coming from the girls bathroom this morning a little after 6ish... and I recognized the sound from when Ashley and Sydney were younger.... and ... it sounded like a seal had entered the house and taken up a spot in our bathroom! Well... it wasnt Ashley or Sydney this time.. KILEY is now my little baby seal.... SHE has the croup... FUN... but not really... I tried to get her to the back door to breathe in the nice damp, rainy air... but she just wanted to be back in her bed. I took her temp and it was 102... ugh... someone PLEASE Shoot me..... CJ had a temp all night.. but the highest his was was 101.3 I think... HIS FIRST TEMP... Aww... one for the baby book! So... When the phone lines would be open for our navy medical appointment line... you bet your behind I was on the phone making appointments. My kids have a habit of getting sick on Fridays... which is a GREAT way to get the weekend off to a good start... So, all I have to do is Tylenol and Motrin for her. And Tylenol for the baby. The baby seems to just be more congested than anything (GO FIGURE! MY son with congestion? Who woulda thunk it?!) Because Kiley was resistant to being anywhere but in her bed this morning, I whipped out CJ's trusty nebulizer that we have to use saline in it and hooked up my littlest lady... it seemed to do the trick actually!!!! YAY.. so, because Ashley is my worry wart... all my kiddos ended up being up and ready before it was even 7am!
Just when I thought my day was off to a bad start... one of the girls who sometimes walks to school with my girls shows up at the door... huh????? It was POURING... My girls are NOT going to be walking to school in the pouring rain. The girls mother did not even CALL me to tell me her girl was on the way. I am so dumbfounded... the girl didnt even have an umbrella or anything. I was NOT going to allow my girls to walk and sit in school SOAKING wet all day... ... the dilemma was this... I do not have a vehicle big enough to fit MY children in.. never mind throwing ANOTHER child in the bunch who is large for her age... oh, and she smells moldy... I am the queen of noticing THAT smell.... so what am I supposed to do?!?! send the girl packing?? or just tell her that my girls are not going to be walking to school on a rainy day and I do not have enough seats for my kids... never mind more?!?!? and bring them??? well.. I did the latter... the school is pretty much right around the corner but ANYTHING can happen between point A and point B.... the girl better not show up on a rainy day AGAIN or I will just send her on her merry way... will also be dropping the mother a line to let her know I CANT have that happen again.... Grr... oh, and I am a SUCKER... so... I dont normally say what I should when I should... I worry about hurting other people's feelings and in the process, get myself all PO'd and what not... and it is OBVIOUS most people have NO regard for me.... whatever... I am over it... She just better not show up here again when it is pouring buckets... Should I also tell her mother they wreak of mold and wash their clothes and dont forget them in the washer.. eww.. so gross.. and putrid.. it burns your nostrils...

Ummm, I wouldn't tell the mom how to wash her kids clothes or anything, but I also probably wouldn't have driven that child to school. If you don't have the space in he car for her to be safe then you are taking on the responsibility of another child and possibly putting her in harms way. So I think next time you should either send the girl home to get a ride from her mom and some clean dry clothes or tell her she'll have to walk to school on her own because you don't feel safe having her in the car. If the mom has a problem with that then just tell her that you were only thinking of her safety and leave it at that. I hope the kids all feel better soon and no one else comes down with this.
oh, she was safe in the car... she is big enough for the front seat so she sat there... I took it upon myself to have my girls in the backseat.... all of my kids..
I need a new vehicle... SOON... or I am literally TRAPPED at home this summer...
Yikes. Not good. I don't get the moldy clothes at all! I had that problem earlier in the week and rewashed the clothes a few times just to make sure they didn't smell. Their smeller must be broken!! Yuck! I hope the kids are on the mend and you have a great HOT weekend!
