GOOD GRIEF I am tired

My little man all scratched up and scratching the thrush in his mouth

his big boy bed
you can see Ashley and Sydney at the Ice Cream man truck and Kiley being ever so patient in the window.

It has been a couple of days since I could update. So, where should I start? Or should I wait to start since the boy boss is fussing in his motionless swing? Well, he fusses to hear himself I think. This little guy does NOT sleep. I do NOT know what to do with him to make him sleep restfully. He wakes up at least every 1- 1.5 hours during the night and comfort nurses. As soon as I try to transfer him to his cradle, he wakes up. As soon as I move my body away from him, he cries. He loves me I guess but I do not want him in our bed. It makes me nervous but I get SO tired I just have no other option. His skin I know is STILL itchy and he is rubbing his face as if he has seasonal allergies (eyes and nose). He sounded congested last night in the bedroom because daddy literally had the window open a crack... think of a crack in the pavement... a SMALL one and that is how open our window was. Darn warm blooded creatures! IT WAS Putrid in our room this morning from the warmth! So, I do not know if I should just try and switch him over to his big boy bed during the night and see if that helps or causes more problems? Any info would be great to help me out here! I am not used to a child like this! All the girls would sleep through the night LONG before this age. Is it because he is breastfeeding? He doesnt hardly nap in the day. They are SHORT cat naps usually in the car or in the rocking chair when he is moving. As soon as you stop the car or try to transfer him to another position in the house, it is ALL over. I can not sit in a chair for 2 hours while 3 other children destroy the house! And need lunch made, clean clothes, dog has to go in and/or out, dishes needing to be done, oranges needing peeling, etc. etc. etc. You should see me mop with baby in one arm and mop in the other!

That is the update on his sleep... or, not sleeping!

Ashley had the puke bug on Sunday. That was gross. When she gets the stomach virus she gets it BAD! Because of Sydney's seizure disorder, we used to have suppositories for her just so her threshold would not be lowered to cause seizures because Sydney used to be much more prone to having seizures while ill when she was younger. I wish we still had those so I could have given one to Ashley!!! She is rail thin and it takes ALOT out of her to puke like she did. She was over it by Sunday night but still. GOD I hate the puke bug. It is the WORST part of being a parent is picking up vomit. I can do the boogers and stuff like that. I think it is my fear of getting it myself that makes it so bad. Knowing how awful it makes you feel and having 4 children to take care of. I bought some premade formula for CJ at the store the other night and placed it on the counter in case I got pukey myself so that the girls could just pour it in a bottle and feed it to him. Not that it would work because he wont take a bottle at all. He is completely nursed when it comes to beverage consumption for that boy! I dehydrate very very very fast when I am sick and I know my supply would go down incredibly if I was puking. Thankfully, the cans still sit on the counter!

I brought CJ to the dermatologist the other day and she really had no new info for me. She just said I could be a bit more liberal with the hydrocortisone 1%. I was also able to pick up the Cetaphil cleanser for his bath. I was able to get it at the Navy Clinic so I would not have to purchase it at the store. She also suggested lubing him up with Vaseline. That will stink because it will ruin his clothing. I guess I will have to find some items I dont mind destroying permanantly. (OK, I dont think I know how to spell permanantly) She also told me he should grow out of most of this eczema but will probably have smaller patches the rest of his life. She said to keep up with the nursing and just be super duper careful introducing him to foods. I have given him applesauce thanks to Kiley having given him a nice mouthful of her applesauce one night. I bought the baby one and finished out the couple day trial period and it seems to be ok with him. HE LOVES it. I also introduced the Rice cereal to him because I do not want to use the Zantac and he is tolerating that ok also. HE LOVES to eat solids and doesnt push it all back out with his tongue! CJ hit his 20 week mark last Sunday! That is 1/2 a pregnancy! You know how long 20 weeks in a pregnancy lasts? Sure seems a whole lot longer than 20 weeks while they are out of your belly!

I brought CJ in to nurse managed care yesterday at the Navy Clinic because he has a spot of thrush in his mouth. They gave me Nystatin to put in his mouth. And I can put it on my breasts. I think I am going to just go and get some of the Gentian Violet to knock it out. The Nystatin did not work when Kiley needed it. We will see. Yesterday after I gave him some of the nystatin and it seemed to make him much more mucousy or something in his mouth and throat. maybe the thrush being eliminated? I dont know. I dont like when my baby has a cough though.

The girls have been on vacation this week and they have spent the whole time waiting for the ice cream man. He came on monday and all they can think of is the ice cream man. I told them they need to just relax, have fun, and when they hear the music from the truck, they can just go out and get some. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO they have to SIT on the front porch with their money in their hands WAITING.... WAITING... WAITING... Tuesday they waited ALL Day and he never came. Yesterday while I was at the clinic, he came so they missed him! UGH... SUCH LUCK!

I think that is it in a nutshell for now. More to post later.... CJ is crying now.. not just whining. The girls entertainment is NOT enough for his high maintanance liking! UGH!
