Dermatologists, Ticks and Dentists! OH MY!

OK... I will start off by saying that I was able to find a new Dermatologist for CJ to go see. This one is actually in the same exact complex that I took Kiley to see her dermatologist in! So, I know where I am going this time. When I first called, the lady said that she would not be able to get me in until mid-late May. I guess I kind of grumbled or sounded super bummed or something because she asked what was the reason... when I explained that my 4 1/2 month old son has severe Eczema she then said she would take a look and see what she has open. SHE GOT US AN APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT TUESDAY! YAY! The girls will be on Spring Break so unfortunately, I do not know how I will drive to the appointment because I do not have a vehicle large enough to transport my whole family to the appointment without putting my 51lb 8 year old in the front seat... ain't happening! So, I will have to find a sitter for someone... This Dermatologist is a woman and I am hoping that she is sensitive to the fact I am breastfeeding and isnt brash about it all! I will definitely be updating about that situation at some point!

Now, the second daily note.... I HAD A TICK ON ME! YUCK! It was crawling on my arm. I felt a tickle while I was nursing CJ and scratched at it, felt it again and it was something flat on my arm.. turned my arm over and OH MY LORD! A TICK... RIGHT NEAR MY BABY! AAAAH! TALK ABOUT GROSS AND NASTY AND SCARY AND RIDICULOUS all at the same time! Poor baby had to be popped off the boob and laid down while I figured out what the heck to do! I managed to have the little bugger pinched between my two fingers and walked ALL the way down our hallway (we have a LONG hallway) to lay the baby down in his cradle. Then, I walked back down the hallway with the little jerk still pinched between my fingers and I am hoping and praying I didnt drop the thing somewhere in the process. I called the girls out of bed to have them come and look at it just so they have an idea of what one looks like. They were surprised at how small it was. I explained to them that there are ticks out there even smaller than this one that can make you very sick. I also explained how they will get bigger should they attach themselves to your skin. I am the queen of ticks. I had to have several taken off of me as a child by a medical professional and had to have one removed from INSIDE of my ear which I almost needed to have surgery to remove. (If my mind is remembering correctly) When I was growing up we lived in front of woods/swamp area in Rhode Island and I was always stomping my way around in the woods exploring everything. Hence, many tick removals. So, I am just SHOCKED at the fact that it is April 10th, the first REAL nice day where we could go and enjoy lounging in the grass and returning to our duty as the neighborhood police patrol (me and Darcy!) I GOT a tick on me! We also had girl scouts outside tonite because of the perfect weather. So, I could have gotten the tick there also. Who knows... All I know is that it is a LITTLE early in the season to be getting ticks meandering all over me... YUCK and NEAR my baby! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! When I was telling my mother about it... she reminded me that I am a "Tick Magnet"... now why dont they make a shirt like that for me considering they have ones for little boys that say "Chick Magnet." Just last year when I walked down in to my parents back yard to check out some work my dad had been doing, I had one walking on my leg. NOBODY else gets them... including my dad who would spend hours upon hours working in the yard. It's just me. It always is. Although, when we arrived at Girl Scout Camp last year, we walked in to our cabin, hadn't even been there a half an hour and Ashley had only been in the car and walked in to the cabin and she had one walking on her head! ACK! She takes after her mom in one aspect I guess!

Kiley is supposed to have a dentist appointment tomorrow because she has a spot on her tooth where it looks like a filling fell out. Her dentist called and asked to reschedule Kiley's appointment until 11am tomorrow. Which is good. But I dont like the fact that the appointment needed to be rescheduled because the dentist left early today due to being ill! ICK! YUCK AGAIN! So, I told the lady who called that Kiley is not cooperative at all and is already upset about the thought of having to go to the dentist. The last time she was seen she was given Valium and Nitrous Oxide and still managed to demon spit her way through the appointment. AND being in a papoose. So, I have to call at 830 am to try and get her some more valium for this appointment to see if it will do the job. It is going to suck because she will be all doped up and the dentist is up a giant flight of stairs with no elevator and I will also be carrying the infant carrier. I have to bring him with me because I am his walking milk bar and he wont take anything else. Should be fun when the demon comes out screaming and the ol bear CJ decides he wants some boob! AT THE SAME TIME I AM SURE! UGH. Should be oodles of fun!

Chris will be coming home tonite from a training at Midmark in Ohio. He left early monday morning and I tell ya, the girls have been giving me a run for my money this week while he is away. Thankfully, I am on no mail on all of my email loops and have been able to keep up with everything for the most part. I cant wait to have our whole family back together again! He should make it home about 2am! YAY!

Oh, and shall I mention the fact that I found my old cat we had to give away is on craigslist. We found out CJ is allergic to many things in this lovely little world. One of the main things we were told to do is to eliminate as many allergens as we could from the home. We had to start with the cats. So, Gabby and Shamu went to a new home. About a month after they were gone, the lady emailed us saying she needed to give them back. That Shamu was laying all over her baby and was eating their clothes etc. etc. etc. Chris wrote them back a nice email stating we had said we would not be able to take them back once they were gone. We told her we would understand if she had written us a couple of days after or even a week. This was a MONTH after. After alot of the cat allergens had been removed from the house. Navy housing had been there to clean for mold we could smell but not see. CJ had been on a Saline Nebulizer up until that point. Once the cats had been gone a while and the mold was cleaned up, he has not needed it. Chris told them we would not be able to knowingly bring something back in to the house that would make our son ill. So, She never responded to the email we had sent to her and she was told to scroll down and read everything that had been written regarding not being able to take them back. We would NOT have given the cats to a person with an infant had Shamu done anything like laying on CJ.... That is plain ridiculous. And eating clothes??? HUH??? I am dumbfounded. all I can think is that he had no food to eat at the time he might have done something like that or his litter box was dirty or something. so, that is the happenings of our day! Kiley just fell out of bed. She snuck in to Ashley's bed and fell out... I will now be laying in my bed with her... so, off to sleep land til CJ wants to graze his way through the night and wait for my lovely hubby to return from his couple of nights in a fancy hotel and fancy dinners and king size bed and whirlpool tub all on the tab of the company and the Navy. I think I want to repair dental chairs too! REALLY I DO!

Good Night Y'all! (just talked to my inlaws! HEH!)

Oh, and I thought you would all like a cute picture of my little man's big toe sticking out of his jammies! SO CUTE!

My friend's son got a tick right on his ummmm privates we'll say this weekend. She called the doctor who told her she could remove it or bring him to the office to have removed. She opted to allow them to do it. I don't blame her.

I see you got the linking thing to work.
