This week is School Spirit Week at the girl's school. Well... Today is Pajama day. This is the girl's FAVORITE day of the week with Crazy Hair Day being the second favorite. So, as I said in my post yesterday, the girls walk to school with a bunch of other little girls. I was very surprised this morning when the bunch of other girls showed up that none of them had any matching pajamas. Well, 2 of the girls had NO pajamas at all. NONE. And then one of the girls was wearing completely mismatched and much too small jammies. And the other two had slippers on even though there was so much dew on the morning grass. I guess Ashley had said something to the girls about wearing sneakers and socks and they went home to get them on and I guess their mom said they did not have any that were clean so they returned in their slippers. Huh? I am so confuzzled. Anyways. So... I got to thinking about this one
episode of Oprah that I saw that a
woman had started an organization that gives a pair of pajamas to each kid who goes in to a shelter or foster care or state care or whatever. These kids often will be asking WHAT the clothing is! Most of them have not ever owned a pair of pajamas. I can not even imagine! Seriously. I must be sheltered because I LOVE Jammies!!! As do my children. Even when I was growing up and even now ... every Christmas Eve we get new pajamas. We give new pajamas to the girls. I already have them for THIS coming Christmas for Sydney and Kiley in my closet and I know exactly which ones I am going to get for Ashley. And then, I just have to get CJ his! So, what I want to know is... do you have PJ's for your children? Or am I really that sheltered that 2 out of 7 girls had pajamas this morning and that is normal. The 2 children with jammies being MY Girls. Now, go curl up in some cozy jammies and a pot of chili cooking and read a book! Fall is coming!

I love jammies, too. Both my little ones wear them. But my older two didn't after they turned 2 or 3. They just wore big t-shirts to sleep in. I was poor then and it was cheaper to put them in a to big t-shirt than having to buy yet more clothing that no one really sees anyway. :x
