So, Ashley and Sydney started Gymnastics tonight! THEY LOVED IT! I guess the teacher assigns them all a nickname. Ashley ended up being Lemonpiper (not lemon pepper... I asked a bunch of times and they both told me no) and Sydney is Rosebush! LOL! SO CUTE!
We peeked in to the window on the door and it looked like Ashley was a natural of course! Sydney, she was doing great but seems to have little upper body strength. Who knows why... but, that is what it has appeared to be like for quite a while.
Chris talked to his brother Curtis tonite and I guess Betty is coming out of it. She doesnt seem to recall anything yet. Just moving around alot but can not talk as she has the tracheotomy in. She isnt with it enough to try to relay any messages. She did try to lean over and kiss Melody's hand. So, prayers are still needed and are much appreciated. This horrible accident happened on July 18th. Our Anniversary, her Son in law and her grandson's birthday. She is still in the burn unit I suppose. I guess they are possibly considering looking in to transferring her to a more respiratory facility as most of her burns are healed for the most part now. She is still on the breathing machine but it is only on Assisted. We are so happy for this wonderful news and hope she is able to make much more of a recovery. They had to tie her hands down because when she would get agitated she was reaching to try and pull all the stuff off of herself!! YAY! The Ornery Betty is back! LOL!
CJ seems to be getting a cold. I hope not. He is sleepy today and is a bit congested but it is hard to tell with him if it is a cold or if it is allergy stuff. His excema is ok right now but the pediatrician said to be ready for some lovely flare ups with the cooler weather on its way. Oh, and he was 29 inches and 20.8 lbs at his 9 month visit!!!! I dont recall if I had written that yet.
I have some SUPER adorable pictures of Kiley from Dunkin Donuts tonite. Me and Chris took her to DD when Ashley and Sydney were in Gymnastics. She loved it!!! She thrives on mommy and daddy's attention. She is so well behaved and adorable and everything! Dont get me wrong.. she can be a stinker but for the most part, she is so fun to be around. Ashley and Sydney are much more moody and ... well.... 7 and 8 years old! LOL!
Kiley's time is coming!
My mom called me tonite asking what I have been up to. LOL! I guess when she went to see Grandma Goff in the nursing home today Grandma had informed mom that I had been up there with Chris and she babysat the baby for us! LOL! It is sad and funny all at the same time. She told my mom to tell me that if I needed her to watch the baby anytime soon that I would need to get it done soon because the baby is starting to jump much too much for her to be able to take care of him! She told my mom that CJ was as good as gold for her. Now mind you, Grandma can not get up and move and is bedridden for the most part and has double broken shoulders and can pretty much only move from the elbows down. Mom asked her how come she was babysitting the baby and grandma told my mother that me and Chris just needed to get out of the house for a little bit. Getting old is the pits.... and losing your sanity is probably the better way to go. Seriously. Most of the time Grandma's mind is there and that makes things more difficult for my mother and my grandmother. My grandfather lost his mind with dementia and it was easier in a sense. He didnt have any reason to be scared and well, grandma is scared. Grandma is back on thickened foods which is totally gross. Try eating rice krispies with thickened milk.... I do not know if you have ever made any food for anyone with Thick It.. but it is totally nasty. It is amazing to think that with everything grandma has been through... she is still hanging in there. She does receive hospice care... for failure to thrive.... but she is still tough as nails I guess. She has more lives than a cat! (did I just say that?!)
Hoping to go for another walk tomorrow! We shall see if the weather holds up.
Happy 14th Birthday, Alyssa

Sounds like a good day. My CJ still hasn't gone for his 9 month check. We're going today. Only a month late. They were booked for August. Hopefully that's not the case in November when he's a year. Although, August was probably a lot of back to school physicals. So I'm sure I'll have lots to update on today.
Where are the picks of Kylie at DD?
