Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link HERE. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:
Are you doing anything to help the Earth on Earth Day?
I have not yet figured out what I will be doing to help out. I know we were going to do a couple of things with our girl scout troop but since we had April Vacation this week, those things ended up failing in the scheduling. Ugh. I will most likely clean up my yard more, maybe work on cleaning up the little field across the street with the kids where they often play and I will once again make a "resolution" to be more conscious about my consumption of electricity and water and what not. I will try to make my effort better TODAY and not wait until official "Earth Day"
GO GREEN!!! Oh, and I will try to remember to bring my reusable grocery bags in to the store more often. I am the WORST at that yet I have a ton of them. I guess I am lucky I remember to bring my kids in the store with me! LOL!

Do do things every day. Will we do something special? I would assume so, I just have not yet decided what.
I probably should....but now I will have to think of something. Involving the kids would be good too!
I haven't really thought about it. I'll probably do some kind of activity with the kids so they can learn a little more about Earth Day.
The only special thing we've done on Earth day is for the past 10 years celebrated the birth of our first daughter ;). Yup, that's right, Natalie has an Earth Day Birthday ;). I'm thinking of making her some fun Earth Day cupcakes to bring to school. Joe will be getting his 15th tattoo that day, but I doubt that helps the earth at all.
nothing special just what we always do
I don't know what we will do. I was thinking of planting a tree seedling.
Not so much for Earth day as for every day.
we will have a talk and help clean up the neighborhood
We are trying to get some more of our landscaping done which we do ourselves. Most of our 1.25 acres will be xeroscapped to conserve water. We will have a small patch of grass in the back since I really need some green!
Probably just celebrate my birthday... how selfish is that? lol
We're doing our own neighborhood 'clean-up' by just going around with a trash bag to pick up any trash laying around. Also planning on starting a garden :)
