Well, a long ride in the rain, nearly being pushed off the road by a guy driving an 18 wheeler... jerk... we made it to the home of Rebecca and picked up our precious new puppy! They had named him Hudson Blue and Sydney had been saying she still wanted to name him Shiloh until she met him... and met the little girl Lindsey who was so graciously parting with her puppy... so she has decided to keep the name the same...
He was born on March 30th 2009 and is the "runt" of 9 pups. His first language was French! I thought that was a cute bit of information about our little guy. His mother is a Flat Coated Retriver and his dad is a Black Labrador. All I know is that we are all smitten (right now of course! LOL!)
We have some trying puppy days ahead of us...
He hit it off REAL well with Rosa. At first he was running away from her scared and trying to hide. He would paw at Rosa like a cat! It was pretty funny... I think he is right pawed! CJ was having a great time telling him "Good Girl"
I want to upload the 2 pics I took of him with everyone on the floor but if I move, he might start crying. He is resting peacefully in his bed. He tried to get in to Rosa's bed but I dont know how she will feel about that. It is POURING rain but they had 2 good romps out in the backyard. He is a beautiful guy. Not runtish like Rosa.... I cant wait to play with him more. Sydney did get herself scratched up in the car by letting him climb up on to her back and managing to get her head stuck under him while Hudson tried to climb in to the back of the van... she is a toughie though... and thinks it is funny.... goober.
Thank you so much Rebecca and family. We are happy to have Hudson Blue with us... and we will continue to share photos, stories and maybe if we travel through ... some visit time! We feel blessed that your pup somehow fell in to our lap. It was meant to be... Thank you.
