Welcoming 2009 with open arms!

I am hoping that 2009 will be a much better year than 2008. We had so many different speed bumps this year that hopefully will not be as much of a trial next year...

We said Good-Bye to my grandmother on September 21, 2008. She was 91 years old.
We are still coping with the emotions surrounding Chris's mother who was in the explosion on 7.18.08.... she continues to be in a rehab center and has had all of her colon and most of her intestines removed due to an infection.
We had the medical issues for Sydney.
We had the housing issues.
We had CJ's issues.
There were a lot of curve balls thrown at us.... and somehow we managed to get through all of them (I HOPE!)
The end of this year has been difficult to endure with the children being so ill....

I am sure I could go on and on about the negative things from this year but I am going to look forward to the positive things in 2009!

LIKE the fact I have lost 14lbs since joining Jazzercise and hope to lose much more... and gain muscle... and just be more healthy! My day will come!!! I hope to look much better in a swimsuit come summer. AND NO I AM NOT talking about wearing a bikini! You should SEE my stretch marks... oh , wait... you dont want to see that... eww... yuck. but a non mu-mu bathing suit would be nice!

WE will be getting ready for our next move ... we are going to look at the seasons as our last seasons in CT (KNOCK ON WOOD) ... In August we will have our window open up for Chris to get orders for our next duty station. We are comprising a list of things to do before we leave... because it will (SHOULD BE) our last summer, winter, spring.... Places we want to eat, things we want to see... if anyone has any recommendations for the northeast... destinations... anything... let me know! We want to make our last 17 months here memorable... and not have any regret about not seeing something.
We are hoping 2009 will be the year Chris makes Chief. I wont hold my breath though. I am hoping we get through the year without a deployment. But, will cross that bridge should we get to it!

I hope you all have a wonderful new year.... and that 2009 only brings the best for everyone!
