The Re-Enlistment January 16, 2009

Since many of the readers have not attended a re-enlistment before and I included a synopsis of the event in the previous post, I decided I should share a couple of pictures from the ceremony. Ah well... I should have included them with the words in the other post but I shall make this new post! I hate what I look like in pictures and I hate posting pics of me... yucko. I wish I was not stuck at my 15lb weight loss plateau. So... I am proud to say my dear husband is now in the military until 1/16/2014. Then we will need to extend until 9/26/2014. GO NAVY! Receiving my award! LOL! AWARD?! Not really... just a commendation letter for tolerating the idea that I was not issued in my husband's sea bag when he enlisted in the Navy back in 1994.
The crazy FAM! It was snowy on the ground and cold. Ashley did Kiley's hair and she looked like Cindy Lou Who. I recommend the food at subvets... yummo... and cheap. If you are not a submariner or submariner wife or member of subvets (which you would have had to be a submariner at some point) you are out of luck unless you have your sponsor with you! OF course the food probably sticks to your arteries but, once in a while won't hurt! Oh and I failed to mention how cool it is to just be somewhere knowing some old salty dogs had been in there. It smells of cigarettes and beer. The bathroom was the highlight for the girls. They thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the submariners in uniform sitting at the bar enjoying a nice warm lunch. It would have been a great pic. I am sure they would have thought I was nuts.

Agreeing to sign his life away as his youngest daughter looks on...
WOO HOO! HE was OUT OF the NAvy for 24 hours and couldnt even enjoy it because it was snowing.... HONORABLE DISCHARGE!
The guys Chris works with. NONE of them are submariners. So, they got to eat yummo food because Chris was their sponsor. I wonder how long it will be before they beg for him to bring them back for a delicious lunch!
CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS! YOU MAKE ME PROUD!
I LOVE YOU!
