Today Sydney and Kiley had the dentist. This was a scary thought for us .... Kiley has not been a good dental patient due to her prior dental trauma her whole little life so far....
Last time she went she had to have Verced to try and keep her calm and redevelop a trust in her new... AND AWESOME... dentist. IT WORKED! Today we only had to use the laughing gas! She had a pulpotomy and crown put on another one of her teeth. She did AWESOME!!! I Am so incredibly proud of her. I guess she was pretty silly during the appointment. Daddy went in with her in case she got ruthless. At one point she turned to the dental assistant and said "Hey"... LOL!
Sydney... She got her teeth molded to get her spacer in. He is actually going to put the one in that fits on the whole bottom of her mouth . He is going to put little bends in the metal so that he can unbend it in case there is some crowding in the teeth. Because of the fact that she is going to have that tooth missing for a couple of years (3-6) he doesnt want an issue when the other one falls out either. I cant believe she is going to have to wear it that long! She got her first teeth much later in her infancy... so, she will more than likely be at the latter part of the age range.
So, this is what the thing looks like....

We had another snow storm today! CJ LOVES THE SNOW! It has been fizzling out as it got later in the night... but, we got a little bit of time for the kids to run around in it. Ashley had a magnifying glass and was looking at whole snowflakes. I looked at a couple and it was really pretty cool! She even caught one on the end of the pencil. I know I complain a lot about the cold but there is NOTHING like seeing the excitement on the faces of your children... giving them the chance to experience snow is something that some kids do not ever even get... so I am going to not take it for granted and realize that one day we may live somewhere it doesn't snow.
